UK 1st Place - Outstanding Achievement Fine Art Amateur "Charm" Captured by the charm of this lady in Tokyo. Massimiliano Balò was born in Sicily. He lives in Uk. He is a self-taught photography artist and his passion dates back since he was young. He has begun to make digital art in 2013 when he received his first Honorable Mention at the prestigious 3rd Annual Mobile Photography Awards. From then on his works have been appreciated artistically by international expert juries winning important photo competitions including the Sony World Photography Awards as a shortlisted in 2017 and 1st Place - "Outstanding Achievement"at the Black & White Spider Award in 2018. Through photography he expresses his dream like world made of "visions" starring body or faces of people which he deformed. Massimiliano is one of the new generation contemporary artists of Mobile Art Photography, in fact almost all of his works have been created with the use of the mobile phone and his editing programs. His technique involves the use of fingers that touch the screen as if it were a brush on a canvas, creating a painting effect. His photos create a sense of mood, atmosphere,dream like and drama scenario. His photos blur the line between art photography and painting. Most of his compositions are abstract. They focus on shapes with little indications of scale and orientation. They are full of observations and questions about inner life and mystery! |
