Sleep did not come easy. I spent hours in anticipation of what might unfold in the field. I hiked up a mountain path in the middle of the night and arrived at a cliff ledge 2000 feet above the majestic Lysefjord. I balanced my camera on the edge of the cliff and waited patiently. I knew the light would change quickly so I needed to be ready. Just as the sun pierced the horizon an incredible glow illuminated the scene. The golden light gave the scene a really special mood. I used various visual elements-elements of design; line, shape, color, texture, pattern, form and space to create an optical illusion of the Greek god Zeus lightning bolt. In ancient Greek religion, Zeus was the chief deity of the pantheon, a sky and weather god who was identical with the Roman god Jupiter. He was regarded as the sender of thunder and lightning, rain, and winds, and his traditional weapon was the thunderbolt. He was often referred to as the "Father of Gods and men.

Deep inside an enchanting rainforest lies a spectacular moss, lichen and fern-clad slot canyon. A unique ecosystem that has remained unchanged for thousands of years. To reach this hidden gorge I had to wade up a creek in waist-deep water and climb an extremely treacherous log jam at the mouth of the canyon. Beyond the log jam, the gorge opened up and revealed a fairy tail scene out of this world. Untouched by modern civilization. I felt like I had entered the world of Avatar. The serenity of the scene made me breathless.
