I came across one in particular that I used for a number of subject matters. As I have now been in the digital darkroom since 1998, I have periodically tried to create imagery that had a similar feel as those that I had done years ago. This is one of the images that I feel has allowed me to re-create in the digital darkroom, perhaps an even more painterly image than I had been able to create previously. |

Barry Brukoff USA Nominee Nude Amateur "Maria in Greece" As we had already visited many of the beautiful Greek islands I thought it would be interesting to show my traveling companion some lovely islands in the northern part of Greece. We visited Skiathos, Skopelos and then on to Alonissos, where much to our surprise, found that the village was largely in ruins due to an earthquake. The abandoned buildings had their own particular beauty which I was photographing and I said to Maria "this would be a wonderful place to do some nude photos in these ruins". As you can see, she has a beautiful figure and she said "well why don't I take my clothes off and you can take some photographs!" I was surprised and pleased. This image is the best of photos of all. |
