South Africa Honorable Mention Children of the World Professional "Young Boy outside the sport centre in Noordgesig, Soweto" A young boy in the Noordgesig township in Soweto. It is one of the oldest townships in South Africa, established in the 1930s and a one of a handful colored townships outside of the Western Cape After completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Photojournalism at the London College of Communication in 2001, I have worked mainly as a news photographer but have also branched extensively into commercial & fashion photography. Originally based in London and then Nairobi, I am now based in Cape Town, South Africa and run a professional studio there. I have worked extensively with news wire services mainly to Reuters, Polaris Images and Africa Media Online. Commercial work included assignments for advertising agencies & multinational companies like Old Mutual, Shell Oil & British American Tobacco. |
