Netherlands Nominee Fine Art Professional "Den Helder - High Water" Image in the not so far future At first glance, the people that inhabit my panoramas of (mostly Dutch) landscapes seem to be at the mercy of their surroundings. But if you look more carefully you can see a more complex relationship, as the landscape responses to its inhabitants. You may see the displays of nature as a reflection of the inner turmoil’s of these people. Or maybe it is the other way around. Anyway, one can’t do without the other. I tell about myths and chance encounters, in a language between fantasy and reality. Space, and the experience of space, are constant factors. |
