Netherlands Nominee Architecture Professional "Toblerone Town" The shapes and colors of this hotel in London reminds me of the famous Swiss chocolate brand, and just as delicious to my eyes. Geometric patterns, rhythm and lines are driving forces in my work. What fascinates me in photography is the interplay between realistic registration and geometric abstraction. This is why I often choose to photograph (elements of) architecture. Apart from its functions (housing, office space, contemplation), architecture also has a graphical, abstract dimension which is a primary focus of my photography. |
