Iran Nominee Abstract Professional "The Vessel: A Symphony of Unity and Resilience" The Vessel, in the heart of New York City, stands as a symbol of harmony, resilience, and teamwork. Its mesmerizing design, inspired by the hexagonal patterns of a honeycomb, echoes the order and balance found in nature. More than a stunning piece of architecture, it embodies the deeper concept of collective strength and human interconnectedness. Through my photographs, I capture individuals walking within its pathways and staircases, as if they are part of a coordinated symphony. Each step taken reflects commitment, perseverance, and balance—core values that The Vessel so profoundly represents. The Vessel is more than just a structure; it is a journey into the essence of humanity, where hard work and unity lead us toward success and beauty. Shokoufeh Malekkiani -is an award-winning Iranian photographer, lawyer, philanthropist and humanitarian activist, who has dedicated her career, law and life to overcoming hunger. She uses art and photography to draw attention to matters that are of essential importance and yet easily overlooked. Shokoufeh’s great determination has helped her win many national and international awards proving her unremitting enthusiasm and passion in her mission to enhance the living condition of the underprivileged . In addition her work was chosen to be included in the Oscars gift bag of the 83rd Annual Academy Awards in 2011, and was dedicated to the United Nations World Food Programme. Ms. Malekkiani has been the recipient of notable awards, such as 2nd place in the Canadian Association for Photographic Art , 2006 Annual digital Competition , some others in USA , England , Belgium to name but few . Malekkiani was included as the only representative of Iran in the Berlin Foto Biennale, 4th Biennial Of Fine Art & Documentary Photography2016. She has been Honorable Mention for the 11th Annual Black and White Spider Awards in USA and She has been the 1st place WINNER in Digital Manipulation & Collage category for the 14th Julia Margaret Cameron Award 2019 and Honorable Mentions in Fine Art category as well and nominated for the 14 th Annual Black and White Spider Awards in USA in Fine Art category. She has been awarded with the title of “Honorable Mention†for the “Prix de la Photographie, Paris†(P×3) 2020 and awarded with the title of “Honorable Mention†in Fine Art category for the International Photography Awards (IPA) 2020 .She has recently been the winner in 35th Chelsea International Fine Art Competition,New York ,USA,2020. Her works have appeared in many magazines around the world. For instance, she appeared as the spotlight artist in ARTisSpectrum magazine in New York, 2014. Since 2009 , Shokoufeh Malekkiani has worked unconditionally and relentlessly to focus attention and diminish the anguish related to hunger across the worldwide. Towards this mission, she has awarded the United Nations with numerous donations to aid this purpose and the benefits of her first photography exhibition was dedicated to building a school in northern Iran. |
