"Flash Of Pink"
It was a special day at the Tampa Bay (Florida) Spoonbill rookery as a very recent storm had washed a load of algae on the shores and we had an unusual green backdrop to enjoy. Positioning myself at the proper height to maximize the green background effect, I was delighted to have found this bathing Spoonbill during a group workshop I was leading at the rookery. As expected, the beautiful bird flapped its wings after bathing and I created this photograph at the full wing extension moment of one of the flaps. I am very proud of the result.

These three seagulls are in conference. They are doing an analysis: Why do humans act so brainless? Contaminating the air, water, oceans, the whole environment in such a way. They wonder if that could be the result of eating so much junk food, and human beings are poisoning their brain, degenerating the inability to think correct. Still, its conference will last long, they don't get the explanation!!!

"Tiger Love"
The image I photographed was of two tigers who were raised together as cubs and loved one another their whole lives. They resided in Big Cat Rescue, a wonderful sanctuary for abused, abandoned and unwanted big cats. Shere Khan and China Doll inspired me when they were under the tree together wanting to be very close to one another showing their love by rubbing their heads together in the emotional gesture exhibited as only tigers do with each other. They were kept together because of the strong bond between them and lived very long and happy lives. Unfortunately, they both are gone now, but are together again forever spiritually in a better place. They were an inspiration to me and I had to capture the loving look in their eyes for one another which I hope everyone enjoyed seeing. Animals tell their story through their eyes if you take the time to really look into them. I am very honored that my photo was chosen and I was nominated along with so many wonderful photographs. Thank you to the judges and I am truly humbled by your appreciation of my work. I live to photograph animals of all kinds because they have no voice, and I try to be that voice to show the world that they are amazing creatures who have emotions and feelings just like humans.
