Young shooter poses for the camera. Shooting is a very popular Swiss sport. Since William Tell shot an apple form his son's head, millions of Swiss try to be like Tell in terms of marksmanship.
Biography:
Born in 1966, Switzerland. As a young man I was fascinated by photography and studied at the Schule fuer Gestaltung in Bern and Ecole d'Art Applique in Vevey.
In the early years I worked as a freelance photographer for press media and on assignments. Now I work as a stringer photographer for the news agency Thomson Reuters Pictures and I am a member of the Vienna based photo agency ASAblanca.
Most of my work is documentary photography and my projects focus on the region I live. Based in the Canton of Wallis in southern Switzerland I work with the daily life of people & their traditions. |
