Biography:
Ron Geipel is a self-taught artist born and raised in Berlin. During the 90s, Ron's camera became an extension of himself, enabling him to develop his skills and vision as a photographer. In 2002, he began to focus on moving images, which led him to found his own motion design studio. In 2014, Ron returned to analog photography and combined it with his revived interest in microorganisms.'Modified by Bacteria' photos show the symbiosis of analog photography and organic structures made from microorganisms. The project deals with themes such as life, metamorphosis, creativity and obliteration. |
