Biography:
At first glance, the people that inhabit my panoramas of (mostly Dutch) landscapes seem to be at the mercy of their surroundings. But if you look more carefully you can see a more complex relationship, as the landscape responses to its inhabitants. You may see the displays of nature as a reflection of the inner turmoil’s of these people. Or maybe it is the other way around. Anyway, one can’t do without the other.
I tell about myths and chance encounters, in a language between fantasy and reality.
Space, and the experience of space, are constant factors.
