I finally have a mature understanding of why I photograph and what to photograph. Photography fulfills a creative urge. I've turned once again to printing my photos and that provides the reinforcement. I disagree that one has to "learn" how to photograph or take lessons other than learning camera controls. I don't know what 'self taught' means. One has to know why one is taking a picture before taking it. For me it is either the profusion or abundance of color or some implied emotion.
