Title:Reconciliation after the Genocide: Liberate & Alphonse
Liberatha Nyirasangwa (70) lost three of her 11 children and her entire family during the genocide. Her twins were murdered when Hutu men raided her house, and another child was killed along with her mother. After years of struggling with anger, she joined a CBS Rwanda socio-therapy group. There, Alphonse Ranyemera (78), who was involved in her twins' murder and had served 15 years in prison, apologized. She forgave him.
