Title:Reconciliation after the Genocide: Celestin& Jean Marie
Celestin Kayijuka (70, with hat) lost four of his seven children and at least 17 relatives during the genocide. He bears scars from a brutal attack while fleeing. Jean Marie Mukyenrwari (62), who murdered Celestin's father, spent 10 years in prison before confessing during gacaca trials. Through CBS Rwanda socio-therapy, Jean Marie apologized to Celestin and his brothers. "At parties, we now dance together," Celestin says.
